"Girl's Day Out" has three main sections to explore;

The Poem selection takes you to a short paragraph. The paragraph tells a sweet story of two sisters that enjoy their time riding together in the wind torn fields behind their favorite stable. At first glance, the story is an innocent look back on the some of the author's favorite childhood memories.

In her Author's Note, Kerry Lawrynovicz describes the glory of her [[riding days.]]
The poem begins to fade to black to reveal a [[new set]] of words.
Each new set of words following the click revelas a peice of the story of the Calder Road murders. As it turns out, the original poem was simply "hiding" the dark murder tale.

[["in a field off Calder Road"]]The jumble of words in the Shards section are a compliation of the words read in the Houston Chronicle that first broke the news of the [[Calder Road murders]] to the public.
According to the article "What Are The Texas Killing Fields? This Mystery Will Keep You Up At Night" by Lily Feinn there have been over thirty bodies disvoered in the field off of Calder Road dubbed "The Killing Fields." Too this day, the FBI are still doing invesitgations in order to figure out who some of the bodies are (Feinn).
[[Explore]] the other sections She descirbes how the girls spent their riding days exploring the trails until one morning they read about the the [[Calder Road murders]] that occured in fields that they themselves road in often.
The girls that were killed in the fields very well could've been her and her sister.
